Website of the project February 2014 – December 2015 Website of the project will be an essential element of the communication strategy and results dissemination. Website preparation will start at the beginning of project (February 2014) and will last 23 months till the end of the project (December 2015).
Adaptation of Polish and English long version of International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) for wheelchair users March 2014 – November 2015 Adaptation of Polish and English long version of International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) for wheelchair users will be based on implementation to the Icelandic version of the IPAQ activities with the same energy expenditure (MET) but specific for people in a wheelchair.
Project meeting and first study visit in Poland April 2014 Preparation of project meeting and study visit in Poland will start at the beginning of project. One-day meeting opening the project will take place at AWF Warsaw on the first day of study visit of teachers from UI. The meeting will be attended by project participants from AWF Warsaw and 2 people from UI (including contact person) and external expert.
Organization of IVth International Conference “APA in Rehabilitation and Education” 24-25 October 2014 The aim of conference ’APA in Rehabilitation and Education’ is to present research and implementation in the area of physical activity of people with special needs with special emphasis on those in wheelchairs. The conference will be international and combined with the celebration of 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Rehabilitation at AWF Warsaw to increase its rank. It is is planned for about 250 participants and will be addressed to physiotherapists physicians occupational therapists physical educators teachers coaches nurses and other APA professionals.

Study visit in Iceland December 2014 The meeting will be attended by participants from UI one person from AWF Warsaw and external expert who will continue work on adaptation of IPAQ; get to know the SenseWear Armband device (SWA); plan the assessment of physical activity by SWA and adapted version of the IPAQ; and determine the details of residence of students and teachers from Iceland at the workshop 2 in Poland.
Workshop 2 in Poland February 2015 “Posture in people in wheelchairs – prevention symptoms causes diagnosis and treatment”
Study visit in Poland and project meeting May 2015 The meeting will be attended by project participants from AWF Warsaw and 2 people from UI which will discuss the results of assessment of physical activity by SWA conducted in Poland and an adapted Polish version of IPAQ. Additionally participants will establish details of residence for students and teachers from Poland on the workshop 3 in Iceland as well as complement and update the content of the project website.

Translation of Wheelchair Skills Test /WST/ Manual into Polish an Icelandic July 2015 – November 2015 Translation of Wheelchair Skills Test /WST/ Manual contains the most important elements of wheelchair maneuverability techniques used in activities of daily living by wheelchair users.
Study visit in Iceland November 2015 The meeting will be attended by project participants from UI and two people from AWF Warsaw who will discuss the results of physical activity assessment with SWA in Iceland and an adapted Icelandic version of IPAQ: establish details of the preparation of the final report of the project; discuss the progress of work on the translation of WST into Polish and Icelandic; complement and update the content of the project website determine the possibility of transferring the project website to the university servers after the project termination; learn about the structure and functioning of UI (management and administration) programs of study teaching methods used with a particular focus on information and ICT based learning (ICT); and establish contacts with the academic UI community.
A CD-ROM with project results December 2015 The CD will include an electronic version of the results – the book of abstracts from the conference on “APA in Rehabilitation and Education” proceedings from workshops translation of WST into Polish and Icelandic and the adaptation of Polish and Icelandic version of IPAQ for wheelchair users. Each institution will receive 300 CD-Rom.
